The Honda Sensing system is a suite of driver assistive features that monitors your surroundings and helps prevent potential accidents from ever occurring – which means you can drive with total confidence throughout Gilbert and Chandler. Honda Sensing Features

When you choose a vehicle with Honda Sensing, you’ll be treated to a bundle of safety features:

• Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS): If you get too close to a vehicle straight ahead, your Honda will slow or hit the brakes to prevent a collision.
• Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM): This system uses built-in sensors to watch the line markers on the road, alerting you if you begin to drift out of lane.
• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Set your preferred speed and following distance, and your Honda will follow your command. But if traffic slows unexpectedly, your vehicle will adjust on the fly.
• Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): If you begin to drift out of lane, your vehicle will adjust steering automatically to bring you back to safety.
• Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR): A built-in camera watches for incoming signs and identifies them as you travel – and it even alerts you to speed limits!

Can You Turn Off Honda Sensing?

Some Mesa drivers prefer extra control and wonder, “Can you turn off Honda Sensing and turn it back on later?” The answer is yes. This system is customizable for your convenience. If you have the optional central touchscreen, simply go to “Settings” and “Vehicle Settings”. Tap “Drive Assist Setup” to change your RDM warnings, set your distance warnings for CMBS, and much more.
